    Job Description
    AGENCY MISSION: to be an alcohol and drug resource center by providing prevention, education, intervention, and referral programs/services.   
    QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s Degree in social services, counseling, education, or administration is desired.  A combination of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree will be considered.  Alcohol and other drug certification and fund development experience is a plus.
    VALUED QUALITIES: Demonstrated high levels of leadership.  Commitment to furthering the mission and vision of Starting Point.  Willingness to be flexible regarding time and availability.
    REPORTS TO: The Starting Point Program Director is responsible to the Executive Management Team of Starting Point’s parent company, The Difference Principle, Inc.
    • Serve on the standing committees of the Board of Directors and complete assigned goals and objectives
    • Plan and develop the agency’s programs and services
    • Provide timely and accurate reports regarding finances, personnel, programs and other issues as required
    • Build positive public relationships with volunteers and other agencies and organizations (i.e. schools, law enforcement, etc.)
    • Serve as the authorized public representative for the Agency within limits. Maintain a positive relationship with the media to ensure accurate information regarding services and programs.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency
    • Oversee the administration of services and programs
    • Oversee and/or complete all required reports for funding sources
    • Establish and administer personnel policies and procedures in conjunction with The Difference Principle Human Resource Director
    • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State employment related laws and regulations
    • Recruit, screen, hire, supervise, evaluate and discharge any and all staff identified in the agency budget in conjunction with The Difference Principle Human Resource Director
    • Encourage professional development opportunities
    • Oversee monthly staff reports
    • Recruit, screen and motivate agency volunteers
    Fund Development:
    • Develop an annual plan for generating funds from the private sector with the Fund Raising 
           Committee (i.e. mailings, special events and projects)
    • Oversee and/or complete grants and other funding proposals
    • Provide presentations to civic and other organizations as requested

    Terms: Permanent full time, with benefits
