The Cedarburg Cultural Center is proud to present the 46th annual Architectural Treasures Tour on Saturday, August 1 & 2, 2015. This year’s tour features five properties that reflect a deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship.
Featured properties include:
One of Cedarburg’s original farmsteads - an 1855 stone home nestled in a private setting within a Cedarburg subdivision. Original beams and Arts and Crafts details are special features of this cozy family home.
A charming 1870s Stick Victorian carefully renovated to reflect its rich history. The original post and beam structure once housed multiple families. Colors and architectural details express the history and craftsmanship of the era.
A stately Georgian-style home built in the mid-1990s. Construction of the home was based on Eleutherian Mills, the original DuPont family home built in 1803 in Delaware. The interior reflects the owner’s strong interest in history and extensive travels.
The unique second-story, loft-style apartment that evokes the historic feel of the MKB Building’s exterior based upon the original stone Bohrtz-Krueger Blacksmith Shop (circa 1848) that once stood on a prominent corner in downtown Cedarburg.
A step back in time to the era of 1848-1857 rural life in the historically noteworthy Greek Revival-style home now known as the Jonathan Clark House Museum.
Tours take place on Saturday, August 1 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, August 2 from 12-4pm. Tickets are good for both days are $13 in advance and $15 on the day of the tour.
Tickets may be purchased in person and by phone at the Cedarburg Cultural Center, as well as online at CedarburgCulturalCenter.org.
